RESEARCH PAPER COMPETITION IN INFORMATICS: FROM IDEA TO PARTICIPATION

Abstract

The specific features of the most significant competitive events of students are considered: republican subject Olympiads and competitions of research works. Subject Olympiad involves comparing the level of knowledge, skills and abilities of participants in the framework of the academic subject for a limited time by solving a number of problems.
The competition for research papers of students of educational institutions involves the conduct of some research during the calendar year. Based on the presentation of the work, the jury members form its overall assessment. The main stages of the research and the peculiarities of its presentation are analyzed. Examples of the best works of the last year are give.
