Abstract

In the context of the problem of improving the effectiveness of teaching students computer science the article presents the didactic features of visual programming languages, the main components of the methodology for teaching students the basics of algorithmization and programming using visualized programming environments are described, and the main results of a pedagogical experiment on the implementation and evaluation of the effectiveness of the methodology using visualized environments and visual programming languages as a means of teaching students the basics of algorithmization and programming in educational institutions and educational centers of the Republic of Belarus.
