STUDENT'S DIGITAL LITERACY AS A CONDITION FOR DIGITAL TRANSFORMATION OF EDUCATION

Abstract

The digital transformation of education can be implemented in two main directions: the transformation of the organization and management of education and the transformation of the learning process. It is the second part of the transformation that seems to be the most difficult. It depends, in many ways, on the level of digital literacy of participants in educational activities – teaching staff and students. For teaching staff, training in this field is systematic both in specialized universities and in the framework of additional education (formal education) and is complemented by separate elements within the framework of informal education. For students, formation of digital literacy goes more from the informal (self-education) to the formal education within different subject areas (meta-subject result) and is systematized in the subject area of Informatics. It should be noted that to date there is no common understanding of the content of digital literacy and how to measure it. This complicates the initially existing situation of digital inequality of students in access to the digital educational environment, activities in it, integration into the digital environment of the state and socialization within the framework of traditional values. The situation of cognitive dissonance that arises against the background of digital inequality of students (the Dunning-Kruger effect) extremely complicates both the learning process itself and provokes significant psychological problems. Preventing the development of psychological problems and inefficiency in learning is the main task in the process of integrating students into the digital educational environment.
