Abstract

The article considers the capabilities of the ChatGPT chatbot and other large language models (LLM) based on artificial intelligence for solving mathematical problems of varying complexity. The focus is on the chatbot's abilities in teaching mathematics and computer science to students. The strengths and weaknesses of large language models are analyzed, as well as the risks of their use in the exact sciences without qualified analysis of responses. The tasks of teachers that can be helped by the chatbot in question are listed, and the directions for the development of LLM are determined to improve the accuracy of their responses when solving mathematical problems.
